The Sun's Not Yellow, It's Chicken

Seeing as the blinking sun can't deliver the prospect of spending hours lurking in second hand book shops seems to me perfectly plausible. Here are a few of the items that took my fancy:

Collected Poems of Wilfred Owen
The crucible by Arthur Miller (hopefully better than his other plays)
George Orwell's The Road To Wigan Pier
Tales and Poems of Edgar Allen Poe
La Gloire de Mon Pere - Marcel Pagnol
Le Chateau De Ma Mere - Marcel Pagnol
The COMPLETE works of Oscar Wilde (for only 1.99 in Oxfam, a very happy purchase)
Vanity Fair- W.M.Thackeray
A Short History Of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson

....i love the old man behind book shop counter, with his modest woollen jumper hes been sat threre for centuries, he knows all the books in the shop like the back of his hand.

"What are those lines all over your face?"
"They're laughter lines"
"Nothing could be that funny"
